When is a TCO analysis worthwhile for websites?
For long-term platform decisions such as choosing a CMS, a relaunch, or moving from custom development to a standard platform, where running costs can exceed the purchase price over the years. For short-lived campaign sites, the effort is hardly justified.
Is the cheapest option by total cost of ownership always the best?
