Server-Side Tracking
Server-side tracking processes measurement data through a controlled server component instead of relying only on the browser.
Server-side tracking gives organizations greater control over how measurement data is collected, processed, and forwarded to analytics or marketing platforms. Routing data through a controlled server component can improve data governance and reduce reliance on browser-based tracking alone. Reliable implementations still require clearly defined metrics, trustworthy data flows, and privacy-conscious processing. The concept is closely related to Web Analytics and GDPR.
