Screen Reader
A screen reader presents digital content through speech or Braille and enables use without a visual display.
A screen reader relies on well-structured content and correctly labeled controls to present interfaces through speech or Braille. Semantic HTML should be used wherever possible, with ARIA added only when native elements cannot express the required meaning or behavior. Manual testing with keyboard and assistive technologies remains essential because automated checks cannot detect every accessibility issue. The concept is closely related to ARIA and Semantic HTML.
